True Identity

In that sense our real selves are all waiting for us in Him. It is no good trying to ‘be myself’ without Him.

The more I resist Him and try to live on my own, the more I become dominated by my own heredity and upbringing and surroundings and natural desires….

It is when I turn to Christ, when I give myself up to His Personality, that I first begin to have a real personality of my own.- C. S. Lewis

Without Him, we can do nothing, be nothing… We are nothing!

Until Jesus is allowed access into our lives, we are shells of who were created to be.

Yes… We get to choose to allow Him in… He won’t force Himself on you (if only GOD had taken this choice from us.. We’d have better lives).

Dear LORD, help us choose life and blessings instead of curses and death… Help us choose YOU over the cares of the world in Jesus name – Amen.

Weakness

My weakness is the perfect canvas for the Oil of God’s strength. – westdeok

When I am weak, His strength can manifest.

It’s like a person who is drowning… If they struggle and try to save themselves, they drown but if they let go, it is easier to save them

When I let go and allow GOD to save me from drowning – in my pain, in my strength, in my logic, in my understanding…. – then and only then can He save me and bring me to safety.

GOD is near to those who humble themselves!

… But letting go and letting GOD takes humility.

Not the kind of humility that talks about humility but one that acts it out by obeying GOD.

Our weaknesses are God’s way of getting our attention and setting our eyes and heart s upon His grace and strength.

But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me’ (2 Corinthians 12:9,NIV).

I am one in a million!

Your differences make you unique.

Did you know that every show flake is DIFFERENT?

Think about it… Every single flake – in the 1-2 inches quickie & the all day 12-16 inches storm- is UNIQUE in its design and formation.

How amazing is that!!!

So, if God takes His time to make each snow flake, what does that tell you about how special each of us are to Him? We who are made in His very image?

He loves us as we are- flaws and all.

He longs to have a relationship with us.. For us to get to know Him.

Getting to know Jesus Christ is a dare dive that is scary at first but once you take that step, you are launched into the best exhilarating, rewarding, fulfilling and defining ride of your life.

Your role in this:

– trust Him,

– answer that call and

– take a step in His direction.

You will not regret it…
