Revelation 3:15-16- I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot…..you are lukewarm…
How do you deal with lukewarmness in your walk with Christ?
Is there a fast-fix method or a gradual deliberate process of falling back in Love with Jesus?
As humans, we are fickle and go by our feelings. If it were up to how we felt, we would never get anything done most days of our existence. We are hot one day and cold, the other; one leg in, one leg out- lukewarm.
When in a rut of lukewarmness, what should we focus on?
Should we focus on how we can draw closer and develop a next level relationship with our Abba, Father?
Or should our focus be on the constant worry of asking: “I am good enough or will ever be good enough to deserve the mercy and grace daily afforded to me as a constant repeat offender in sin?” Or maybe we should focus on and worry about keeping away from sin by our works?
However, we cannot forget that it is never by works of self or works of righteousness that we qualify to stand before the throne room of grace. It is only by the mercy of God, which is freely given undeservedly, to everyone of us cc Titus 3:5.
How do we access this grace?
… Repent in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. – Acts 2:38
Your walk with Jesus, if attempted via flesh and human ability, can only lead to lukewarmness.
Thus it is in Jesus Christ that through the help of the Holy Spirit, we are able to live holy lives that are acceptable and pleasing to God cc Philippians 2:13, Romans 12:1.
Revelation 3:18 says “I counsel you <span class="crossreference" data-link="(AQ)” data-cr=”#cen-ESV-30749AQ” style=”box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 22px; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;”>to buy from me gold
refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and <span class="crossreference" data-link="(

Jesus is calling on us today to be refined by fire… To come back to our first Love.
It is in answering that call that Grace is made available for us in lukewarmness.
Thank You Jesus for Your Grace and constant reassurance that You will never leave us nor forsake us cc Deuteronomy 31:7.
May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of our Abba Father, and the enabling fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you and I, now and forevermore – Amen.
Remain blessed!
