His Gifts vs. His Presence

Why do we desire God’s presents (hand) in our lives more than His presence (heart)?- GIG

As humans we are quick to receive than we are to give.
We are quick to speak than we are to listen.
And with God, we are quick to speak, take and leave than we are to being still and listening.

May the God of all grace help us be like Mary who sat at the feet of Jesus for the needful and life giving Word instead of like Martha who was concerned with the the cares of life cc Luke 10 v 38 – 42

The All Sufficient God

Now to HIm that is able to do exceedingly [far above], abundantly [more than enough], above all [unimaginably high] than all we can ask or imagine [or dare to ask] according to his power that is at work within us- Ephesians 3:20

The Word of God is: Total! Complete! Immanent- ever sustaining! Omnipotent- all powerful!

What could we possibly need that is not found in the Word of God?
I just came across this picture of Psalm 23 and it is BEAUTIFUL!

It shows God in one chapter of the Bible. If this is the case, can you imagine all the other gems there are to be discerned from the rest of the Bible?
Thank God for His Word and His Spirit that shows us His majesty, His long-suffering love towards us and His ever refreshing daily mercies upon our lives.

May the Lord continually open our eyes and hearts to see His wonders and His daily works around us and in our lives that we gain hearts of wisdom that fear the Lord- Amen (cc Psalm 90:12)

Patience is a Virtue

Just because you are moving does not mean you are going anywhere fast – West Deok
Do you ever get frsutrated when driving and the person in front of you is not moving fast enough? Or someone is telling you a story and you can’t wait for them to finish to get to the main point?
You are not alone.. As humans we are desperate to get to places fast… To get food fast…but are we hurrying to get somewhere fast but end up taking a wrong turn that delays us?
Single women marry wrong due to pressures!
Young men end up in wrong careers because they want to make money fast.
But what does it profit us if we rush in but find fools gold?
Therefore, let us be patient in life because it is patience that rewards with the fattest worm.
Be patient to get into your own vehicle – it could bring you to your destination possibly even faster than those who went on ahead of you.
Patience is KEY!
Ultimately, we must endeavor to walk by faith and trust God
Psalm 37:7a- Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for (H)im: ….
