C.S. Lewis – “If you think of this world as a place intended simply for our happiness, you find it quite intolerable. Think of it as a place of training and correction and it’s not so bad.”

We are temporal residents in this world and must see our lives here as a minute fraction of what eternity will be.

Matthew 6:25-34 admonishes us not to worry about anything- food, clothing, a job, a spouse… God has you cover ed!

Our sole responsibility is to seek God -above all else- and everything that we need and desire will be added to us.

Allow God to correct, instruct and provide for you and you will live life on earth most content.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path – Psalm 3:5-6

Trust when you cannot see;

Trust when you do not understand;

Trust when it makes no sense;

Trust because He (our Heavenly Father) says so!

Look in depth; Judge on the surface- westdeok

Look- understand, see, listen

Judge- act, conclude,

This morning en route to work, in my mismatch outer appearance of a cream hat, pink scarf , black jacket, pink and green rain boots, I was the perfect specimen for wrong ‘color blocking’.

I looked a hot mess! Not put together! Not worthy of a second look.

However, on the inside of all of that, I had a blue blazer, multicolor white shirt and black skirt – a very good combo if I may say so myself.

People on my way to work could not see this. They might assume that because my outer appearance was not matching and coherent, I am not worth their time and second look.

This is a lesson for me when I look at people’s lives. I must not judge based on their outer ‘appearance’- non church going, relaxed ways. I must look at the FRUIT of their lives! What values and morals do they hold dear and are these values in line with the Word of God.

People look at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.- 1 Samuel 16:7
