“Your realness lies in your imperfections”- paraphrased from TD Jakes.

Do you know that there are no identical imperfections? Every blemish is different and unique in it’s own way.

Your imperfections make you stand out and cause you to be singled out for good.

Have you ever heard of the story of a man with 4 toes (I believe)?. He was kinapped by ritualist (who kill people) but was released because of his imperfections.

This might be a fable but it holds some truth. Sometimes you are rejected because of something in your life that you are unhappy with but it is that imperfection that will bring success into your life.

Oprah was rejected!

Jack Ma, the Ali Baba founder was ‘over’ rejected!

Many successful people today were rejected because of something in their lives others thought was less than.

But today, they are living testimonials of what your perceived ‘inperfections’ can bring your way.

Your realness lies in your imperfections but so does your success story!

A quote from a text by David Bowden caught my eyes today:

“A successful fight ‘against sin’ starts and ends with the worship of God.”

He goes on to say that “Killing sin is from worship and for worship.“

When we worship from a contrite and humble heart; when we worship with a repentant heart; when we worship GOD for who He is,

we acknowledge our wrong; we put to shame the devil; we assert GOD’s sovereignty; and we make ourselves available to be used for worship- the reason we were created!

Tasha Cobbs put it oh so eloquently:

Here’s my worship

Take joy in it

Make it Your dwelling place

I wanna put a smile on Your face LORD

I present my heart to You

By His Grace, the LORD will accept our every worship because of His mercy in Jesus name- Amen!

While reading today, these verses jumped out at me from Romans 14

Romans‬ ‭14:5-6, 10, 12-14, 17-19, 23‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“In the same way, some think one day is more holy than another day, while others think every day is alike. You should each be fully convinced that whichever day you choose is acceptable. Those who worship the Lord on a special day do it to honor him. Those who eat any kind of food do so to honor the Lord, since they give thanks to God before eating. And those who refuse to eat certain foods also want to please the Lord and give thanks to God.

So why do you condemn another believer? Why do you look down on another believer? Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.

Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God. So let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall. I know and am convinced on the authority of the Lord Jesus that no food, in and of itself, is wrong to eat. But if someone believes it is wrong, then for that person it is wrong.

For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. If you serve Christ with this attitude, you will please God, and others will approve of you, too. So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up.

But if you have doubts about whether or not you should eat something, you are sinning if you go ahead and do it. For you are not following your convictions. If you do anything you believe is not right, you are sinning.”
